Back by popular demand: Two Microsoft Excel Workshops taught by Michael Zumchak of Easy Excel Classes, on Saturday February 12 in Lowenstein Room 1124.
Session I : 10 am to 1:30 pm for Beginners – $30
This workshop will include basic tools, tips, and shortcuts. The session will show you how to anchor cells, create charts, use pivot tables, and explore complex functions such as IF, VLOOKUP, and FIND.
Session II : 2 to 5 pm for Advanced Users – $30
The advanced class teaches some more functions and is even more about learning to make BETTER, MORE COMPLEX spreadsheets.
Topics include:
-building advanced models and templates with simple macros
-adding buttons and controls to the pages (scrolling, push buttons, arrows controls)
-advanced logic with multiple IFS, OR, and AND..
-text formatting functions like LEFT, LEN, MID, and TRIM to decode long strings into usable text
-removing duplicates (static and dynamically)
-OFFSET and database functions (INDEX, LARGE, SMALL, and MATCH)
-Validation and Conditional Formatting
-dealing with links
-intro to VBA macros!
-creating small macros to perform tedious repetitive tasks
